Victoria may hold the title of Graphic Designer, but she is the resident Jack of all Trades. Not only does Victoria know how to do almost everything, but she also does them well. With a wealth of creativity and humor in her arsenal, she takes on many different projects… as long as she’s fully caffeinated. When not at work, Victoria likes to pursue her many diverse interests ranging from making the perfect red curry to photography. We asked her a few questions so you could get to know her, here are her answers:
Q: What’s your favorite song from the 90’s?
A: Closing Time by Semisonic or Basket Case by Green Day.
Q: What is your hot beverage of choice?
A: Coffee, black.
Q: What is your emotional response to the color yellow?
A: I think it looks great on nature, but if you put a block of yellow in front of my face: 🙈 all of the nope
Q: What is the weirdest pet you have ever had?
A: A tortoise. They’re really hard to take on walks and poop when you clean them. However, watching them eat probably puts them on some shortlist of “cutest pets.” It’s insanely adorable.
Q: If you could have a conversation with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?
A: Probably my Grandpa. He died before I was born and I have always wanted to hear his life and stories from his perspective. After that probably Queen Victoria, because of obvious reasons.
Q: What was your favorite TV show growing up?
A: Winnie the Pooh. Batman. They’re basically the same.
Q: If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?
A: Invisibility. Disappearing saved Frodo and Sam so many times.
Q: What does your name mean/does it suit you?
A: Victorious. Yeah, I’m a winner.
Q: What gets you out of bed in the morning?
A: See question #2
Q: Do you have any irrational fears?
A: If I fall asleep in a car I dream about falling out of it, which equals a random and a half fear of falling out of a moving vehicle. Not even being pushed, just falling.
Q: What would the title of your memoir be?
A: “Here’s what I’m not saying.”
“I’ll take a U.S. medium.”
“Where’s the Exit?”
Q: If you were a color, what would you be and why?
A: Dusky purple – because I’m really calm but probably care too much about everything at the same time.
Q: What are three things still left on your bucket list?
A: Live in Greece
Do something that makes change in a good way
Experience every Culture
Q: Who was your favorite teacher and why?
A: My second-grade teacher, Mrs. Kirkland. She was really sarcastic, but not in a way that’s mean or makes you feel small. She cared a lot about honesty and was the raddest.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: Everything. A hacker.
Q: Which three words best describe you?
A: Quiet. Snarky. Dependable.
Q: If you could travel in time, would you go to the past or the future? Why?
A: Definitely the Past. I hate skipping to the end of stories.
Q: How would you like to be remembered?
A: As someone with hope.
Q: Do you have any random pastimes you enjoy?
A: I love puzzles, especially if they’re challenging. Board games too, like Risk.
Q: How would you describe what you do at work to a child?
A: I would say that I take someone’s vision, or their ideas, and help them become reality with a computer. From there it goes to someone else to make it tangible, but I’m like the first stop on a long, rewarding journey.
